Hello! Is it Fall? Is it Summer? Hard to say, but I like this back and forth. I still find wildflowers amongst the turning ground foliage. There is plenty of Summer squash, tomatoes, local peaches and strawberries, but also the first of the local apples. I think the contrast makes me appreciate everything more.
Soon enough this abundance of local zucchini will diminish, so I want to make zucchini muffins for you at least once while I can! You’ll find them on the menu for this week, along with plum tahini sprouted buckwheat granola bars and all of the usual meal builders like pancake and quiche batters, starters and finishers for saag and red lentil coconut curry, plus sourdough breads and so much more. Also, please let me know if you are interested in a quart of half gallon of kitchari (or a quantity smaller than the usual gallon and a half minimum. I already have a request for a jar, so if I get a few more, that will be enough to make a batch. See all the options here.
