Holiday Hours and Special orders Dec 27th December 23, 2015

Hi all!

Due to a change in my family’s plans, we are now closed for the holiday and will reopen January 5th. I will be coming in on Sunday December 27th to fulfill some special orders, so if there is something you would like, please contact me by Saturday at 3pm at juliahellerman@gmail.com. I have room for one more bread order, and it will be chia flax with no coconut sugar. I could add onion and herbs if you like. I will also have quiche and the fixings for making veggie burgers, sausage pizza, and raw pizza at home, as well as pesto quinoa cakes. If there are other things, ask and as always I will do what I can for you.

I hope you all have a warm and wonderful holiday time filled with whatever fulfills you. I hope for all of us that the year to come is one of brilliant peacemaking, a new awareness of our impact on the Earth and positive action to minimize and even reverse it, and that we all act in ways that truly serve each other and the generations to come.

I look forward to year 5 of Julia’s Kitchen! Thanks for helping us make it to here. I’m grateful for all of the people I’ve gotten to meet through this little adventure, and all I’ve learned. And, that I get to do it.

Today and the rest of December, including some Saturday openings! December 5, 2015

IMG_1275Good morning! Isn’t it just glorious when a weekend is just beginning? I hope you have plans for yours that are just what you need – fun, relaxing, connecting, meditative – maybe all of the above!

A few things I want to let you know about…

First, if you happen to get this in time, I made too much soup yesterday, so we have some extra and I will be at Julia’s Kitchen from 12:15 for a bit, so if you would like to pick something up from the grab and go, we have garlicky chickpea miso which go rave reviews yesterday and also the pesto quinoa cakes that also got rave reviews from the few who tried them. We have a delicious Berbere red lentil stew. We have some millet cakes, some lemon ginger steams, golden milk, and if you sweet talk me, I might even be able to get a thing or two off the menu to go. I’ll probably be there an hour, but if you ask my family, you’ll hear that I never go for just an hour, so feel free to call and see if I’m still there:)

If you require more notice, we are planning a Saturday brunch/lunch  on December 19th at 11am. If you are on Facebook, there is an event set up on our page. If you are planning to come, please respond there or, if you aren’t on Facebook, you can email me at juliahellerman@gmail.com. This was requested by a group, so we will definitely be open that day, but knowing how many people might come will help me plan the hours, how much food to have, and also whether I’ll need some help or go it alone!

We will be open our regular hours through December 23rd, then will close from Dec 24th through January 4th, reopening with our regular hours on Tuesday January 5th 2016! Feel feel to place orders for breads or other things that will last you through the holiday! Best to place them by December 19th.
