Summer Hours May 26, 2015

Filed under: Uncategorized — adaba @ 2:18 pm

Hello friends!

I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and you are appreciating this beautiful sunshine that has returned to us!

I want to let you all know that we will be changing our hours starting this week (today!). It will be a bit of a different set up – we are going back to our roots! We are going to scale our hours back so we are serving lunch, plus we’ll have extended hours for our bakery and grab and go.  Lunch is our busiest and most consistent time, so for many of you this won’t change a thing! For those needing a quick something in the morning or a little help with dinner, we will still be here for you with delicious things to take home with you! Here are our new hours in a nutshell:

Sunday-Friday:

10am-6pm Bakery and Grab and Go

11am-3pm lunch is served!

Of course, on Saturdays we will continue to be at the Boulder Farmers’ Market from 8am-2pm.

I am really excited about this transition. It might get a little wacky for a bit, trying to figure out what stays on the menu, what rotates, and what new things come. Your patience and feedback will be greatly appreciated! I feel certain that once the dust settles, the energy will feel cleaner and more spacious, we will have more room for creativity, and we will continue to ensure that the integrity upon which Julia’s Kitchen was built will remain intact and strong! On a personal note, my hope is that this change will allow me to creep back over than fine line back to sanity, harmony, and balance in my own life.

In a “go big or go home” kind of world, it feels really good to step big in the other direction.

Thanks for your support and we will see you soon!

Rain, rain! May 9, 2015

Good morning! We will not be at the market today unless the rain slows down a bit…our stuff will just get too soggy. We did bake some delicious stuff though, in hopes we’d get a break in the rain, so I’ll be at the cafe from 11-2 in case you want to swing by and grab something yummy like these peach-apricot-tart cherry scones with or without sprouted almonds; made from local tart cherries and the last of my local peaches!

I honor Mother Nature and whatever she sends our way, and I sure will be happy to see some sunshine next week!!

Happy rainy Saturday to you!

HOURS UPDATE! May 6, 2015

P1040896Good morning friends, and a very happy Spring morning. We should have some gorgeous flowers for the Spring and early Summer, and hopefully our local fruit trees are also loving this rain!

I want to officially communicate a change in our hours…

Sunday-Friday: 11am-8pm

Saturday: 8am-2pm AT THE DOWNTOWN FARMERS’ MARKET ONLY. The shop is going to rest on Saturdays during the Summer market season…

Earth Day inspired me to make changes and resolutions in order to ensure that we are staying aligned with our mission. We want to make sure we are maximizing our service to you and minimizing our impact on the environment. I personally need to make sure that we can uphold the integrity and intention with which this business came about, and I also need to stay balanced and sane in order to really be here for you and the other people who need me. Condensing our hours will allow us to be our best! Please stay tuned as we continue to assess our most efficient hours of operation to make sure you are getting the best food and best experience we can possibly offer you, at the most affordable price, with the smallest footprint we can possibly make.

Thank you so much for supporting us as you have, and for your continued support. Small businesses like Julia’s Kitchen are getting fewer and farther between and I am sure that I could list 100 reasons why (or more), but your shining faces, appreciation, and kind words of encouragement are what keep us going!
