Welcome to a beautiful weekend in Boulder! I hope you all have plans to enjoy this bright, crisp sunshine today! In case you need some food to fuel whatever adventures your weekend holds for you, here is our menu for the weekend…

FYI – we’re going to stay open a bit later on the weekends for now, until 5pm, and we’ll see about adding later hours in the future as needed; I’ll keep the hours updated on this blog and on the phone message and I’m happy to hear your input.

AND we’ve got chocolate and vanilla cupcakes this weekend!

  • Hot Cereal: $4.50; creamy millet cooked with fresh, sprouted almond milk, pears, figs, and dates then topped with toasted coconut milk and spiced pecans
  • Crepes (weekends only): $7.00; lightly sweetened crepes made from sprouted grains and stuffed with cinnamon apples, then topped with berry sauce and nut cream
  • Breakfast Bread Pudding (Sunday only); $6.00; sprouted quinoa, buckwheat, or millet bread baked with a spices and a fruit-sweetened coconut cream and a nut-cream topping. Adaba Granola sprinkled on top, optional
  • Soup: Curried Yellow Split Pea and Vegetable Soup, served with naan

Entrees:

  • Daily Inspired Saute $8; Sprouted French lentils, millet, roasted cauliflower and sweet potatoes, kale, and caramelized onions with a lemon-ginger-garlic sauce
  • Veggie Pancake Saute $8: savory pancakes made from sprouted beans, vegetables, and spices served with a gingered tomato sauce (mild or spicy) on a bed of quinoa.
  • Hummus Pizza $7: sprouted grain sourdough crust with your choice of vegetables
  • Kitchari $7: Indian comfort food; mung beans and brown basmati rice seasoned with turmeric, ginger, and lemon and served with our version of naan

Hello Boulder! Hopefully the weekend was good for all!

Frozen local cherries and local tomatoes are in this week; just a little reminder of warm, sunny days as we look forward to a week of chilly ones! In addition to some yummy chocolate heart cupcakes specially for Valentine’s Day and all the other delicious treats in our bakery case, here are the specials for Monday February 13th:

  • Hot cereal – Creamy Almond-Cardamom Millet with Apples, Figs, and LOCAL Cherries
  • Daily Saute – Teriyaki tofu with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots over lemon-ginger quinoa
  • Soups – White Bean Chili (Red Lentil Coconut Curry is now a staple; now made with sprouted red lentils)

And, of course we have the veggie pancake saute, hummus pizza, kitchari, and the rest of our “regular” menu.

In the grab and go, we’ve got:

  • Raw Cashew Coconut Macaroons, Fig Bars, and Lemon Ginger Drops $1/ea or $4/pkg
  • Adaba Bars, made from amaranth, nuts, and seeds; cashew pecan, tahini raisin, original almond, or almond apricot $1/ea, $2 or $4/pkg

Good morning, Boulder!

In case you haven’t headed for the hills to make use of all this snow, stop in for breakfast, lunch, or a treat! Or, come grab dinner so you can enjoy a leisurely day…

By the way, to settle the confusion, our kitchen is gluten free and everything is vegan, unless otherwise requested. And we do cakes! Will post some better pics soon, but the one below will give you the idea…

Special for today:

Sprouted buckwheat and millet crepes stuffed with apples and topped with raspberry sauce and almond cream.

Today’s Sauté:

Lemony lentil homefries; with kale, cabbage, carrots, and a lemon-ginger-caramelized onion sauce

Scone of the day: Raspberry-fig

Muffin of the day: Blueberry-lemon

Plus, while it’s slow here, we are experimenting with cinnamon rolls…

And, of course we’ve got yummy kitchari, veggie pancakes, red lentil coconut curry, and more! The grab and go case is filling up with soups, dips, grain salads, and Dinner by the Numbers!
